Learn More About Diversify

Timeline

2015

Durham, England

Before Diversify was registered as a CIC, it operated under the name Love & Diversity. Throughout North East England, Shanine and her family team visited women’s and men’s refuges such as Changing Lives, preparing two-course meals for residents, engaging with them, learning their stories, and building rapport. This was rewarding and life-changing for all.

2022

Nottingham, England

Our first major event in Nottingham included our Photo & Podcast Workshop, held in St Ann's for children in the community. Participants took a leap into recording podcasts, writing quotes and affirmations, and creating empowering TikTok videos - you may still find the video on our account.

Subsequently, Diversify organised a Queen's Platinum Jubilee Garden Party, bringing together community members from Aspley, Broxtowe, and Strelley. The event received overwhelming support from local councillors, inspiring Shanine to continue further community work in the area.

The Food Bank Project began at Bells Lane Community Centre, utilising the foyer space at their entrance. Diversify distributed surplus food and hot drinks, engaging with the community alongside other wellbeing champions.

2023

Diversify officially moved to Beechdale Community Centre!
